NEMA TS2 Controller Assembly Troubleshooting Seminar

The Nema TS2 Troubleshooting Seminar has been developed by members of the New Jersey Section of the IMSA and is only offered by the New Jersey section and is protected by US Copyright Laws.

Course Description:

This one day (8 hour) troubleshooting seminar covers advanced traffic signal functions and troubleshooting of TS2 Type 2 controller assemblies, Cabinet Components and Terminal Facilities. This seminar is designed to introduce the attendees to intermediate and advanced troubleshooting procedures for the TS2 communication bus. This seminar will be extremely helpful to individuals who are expanding their career in the traffic industry or who are required to install or service TS 2 type cabinets. We strongly suggest you have at least 2 years of practical experience before attending this seminar.  In addition, this seminar will cover:

  • Hands-on troubleshooting of common problems
  • Malfunction Management Unit operation
  • Operation of auxiliary components
  • Buss Interface Unit and SDLC operation
  • Record keeping
  • Use of electrical meters and test equipment
  • Logical steps for observing and troubleshooting a problem

  • Overview of applicable sections of the NEC and NESC

  • Overview of signal phasing, operation and terminology
  • Overview of preventive maintenance
